Ireland’s inward investment agency is bracing for a slowdown in activity from multinationals in this country for the rest of 2023, its new chief executive has said, after a decade of what he called “staircase growth”.

Michael Lohan, who has led IDA Ireland since March, told a Bloomberg economics conference there are “both challenges and opportunities” for the country when it comes to overseas investment amid market turbulence.
