PLDT's Smart Communications and TNT are the leading mobile brands in the local market in terms of subscriber base, according to a study.
Smart is the leading mobile group in the countryBased on a study conducted by Smart in partnership with market research firm NielsenIQ, 46 percent of the 1,175 respondents nationwide own and use a TNT mobile sim, higher than the competition.The study, which ran from January 5 to April 3 of this year, likewise claimed that Smart is the country’s leading mobile group with a combined 59 percent of respondents claiming to use its brands—TNT, Smart Prepaid, and Sun Prepaid.
Smart-powered TNT was also undefeated in surveyed areas, except in Mindanao: Visayas with 60 percent; Balance Luzon with 46 percent, and Mega Manila with 39 percent.Ookla earlier said that Smart was the fastest mobile network in the first three months of 2023.
