With Man Utd and Liverpool both up for sale and of major interest to Middle East investment, how long before a Super League? The Mailbox is in prediction mode.

A global Super League is on the way

The bigger play is surely outright ownership of one or two big clubs in each major league – once you’ve got a full house, the big bucks play is surely a galactically funded Super League. Real won’t be far behind, as they’re not more than a club. At that point, Atletico will fold instantly. I can’t see the Germans wanting to miss out…maybe the Saudis will just buy Red Bull?I understand that football has ruined money. I’m a poor fella but I have no gripes with the fact other people make more, that’s the world we have made. But honestly ifthen you’re letting your anger get the best of you for reasons which aren’t football based but economic.

I know football is becoming more plastic but football fans aren’t, not the real ones, because sharing joy is ingrained in us. So don’t tarnish every victory with a brush of shit, just because you’re not the one the one it’s happening to.As a Man United fan, of course I wanted Inter to win on Saturday, but just like United a week earlier, they didn’t.Whilst everyone holds a view on the 115 charges and mine, for what it matters, is yes they broke the rules.

So again, well done to Pep and his team, and all of them feel free to sod off elsewhere so the rest of us have a chance to win the league again.relating to the Premier League and how “football was invented in 1992” with the implied eyeroll. I know it has been grating for many how every discussion around English football has been very Premier League-centric for some time, but it is surely a very significant parameter to use now.

Also, if that Arsenal side played any of the supposed greats of the more modern era, they’d wipe the floor with those softies. Henry, Vieira et al got seven shades of sh*t kicked out of them by the likes of Keane et al and still went invincible. The perfect example of recency bias could be seen by Jack Grealish asking if Henry could get past Kyle Walker. Henry, who left generational trauma on Nesta, Carlos, Ramos and Maldini, being asked if he could get past Walker. Insane question.
