The annual conference the Community Financial Services Association of America (interest group that represents the payday loan industry) hosted at a Trump golf resort in April 2018 paid off big time. No emoluments to see here. TRUMPocracy ITMFA Resist

'CFPB proposes weakening Obama-era payday lending rule, a loss for consumers' FIXED IT FOR YOU.

one solution two parts: A) make minimum wage a living wage say $55,000 for full time employees. B) give the post office the ability to loan money at the same interest rate as the fed gives banks.

Yes. I ets move back to the Dickensonian era. And add debtors prisons as well

Typical Trump/GOP bullshit legislation. Remove consumer protections so barely legal companies can screw over the weakest Americans!!!!

So, just drop the C?

It’s bad news; it’s a win for predatory lending.

Borrow from Mafia thugs to get end up with your life taken by force or borrow with high interest from payday loans at your own risk. Much better to give living wages and avoid both circumstances.

A big win for low income, bad credit borrowers. U r out of touch with reality.

Since the CFPB is no longer charged with its original purpose, Shut it down completely and fire everyone involved immediately.

I see the ratio on this one about to go seriously askew. Askew.

Just more sickening news. The cesspool our country is becoming has a slippery slope.

Who does this help other than predatory lenders? Like, what good is this doing for any of the regular people that Trump claims he’s here to help? FFS.

That's a huge step back.

This pisses me off

Just in time for the next shutdown.

It’s shameful that payday lending is legal in our country. They’re as bad as the mafia was in their heyday.

Wanna bet Dan Gilbert is a close friend...betcha betcha

Just goes to show it’s not about the agency (CFPB, EPA, CDC, DHS, ETC)... ...but the people running it. 😞

And a loss for borrowers......

And a loss for workers trying to survive the world the billionaires have created for themselves and themselves alone...

...and next up.

I remember when cfpb was there to protect consumers. Very sad to see it weakening rules like this. Hope we don’t end up in the same state as 2008!

No. This is s big mistake!!!

Another Republican get rich quick scam! Wonder if the proceeds to go trump or his wall or both!!!

Lets call it the IFPB then

Republicans have been trying to tell you for years that they hate the middle class and poor. Why so many of you just refuse to believe them is beyond me.

Of course they are. Just one more indignity directed towards the poor.

Those people are loan sharks and opportunists. That they had rules against them was the best thing that could happen to folks. Weakening those rules just exposes people to those same scams and risks putting them into a cycle of debt.

🙏🏼❤️

And a win for consumers
