The Quezon City government and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the improvement of the application and renewal of business permits in the city on Monday, July 17.

Trade and Industry Secretary Alfredo Pascual and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte shake hands after the MOA signing.

According to the DTI, BNRS ensures that registering a business name will guarantee the legal right to use it for five years and must be renewed to continue its validity.“Your presence is a testament to our shared commitment and dedication to creating an enabling environment for business to thrive in Quezon City,” Belmonte said.

The LGU said the OUBAS integrates barangay business permit application and renewal, fees, and clearances to the city's online system to provide convenience to business owners. “However, we recognized that it can’t be a complex, restraining, and time consuming journey, which can hinder the spirit of innovation and economic growth.” she added.
