The travel company allegedly took thousands of rands of would-be holidaymakers' money after closing its doors last week.

Businesses and travel agents who have dealt with Priority Escapes told News24 the company was unreliable and inconsistent and engaged in false advertising for direct flights to the Maldives.The abrupt closure of luxury travel company Priority Escapes has been met with anger from would-be holidaymakers.

The Johannesburg company that provided exclusive holidays to the Maldives ceased trading last Saturday.
