Business confidence is on the mend after declining from a 117.3 index point peak last December according to the SA Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Business Confidence Index . Last month the index increased by 1.9 points albeit three index points lower when compared with July last year. However, the average BCI during the first half of this year was still 0.7 index points higher than the corresponding period last year.
