Nvidia earnings: What Wall Street expects from the AI-chip giant

Nvidia Corp. posts its fiscal second-quarter earnings after the close of markets on Wednesday, and the report will show how the chip giant has benefited financially from the artificial-intelligence craze.

Back in May, Nvidia forecast quarterly revenue of $10.78 billion to $11.22 billion, which was well above the $7.17 billion average estimate at the time. Any quarterly revenue total upward of $8.29 billion will mark a record for the company.For the third quarter, analysts expect:Demand for Nvidia’s AI equipment is so high that the company is reportedly running up against limited supplies, and it will offer a glimpse of how trends are balancing out in Wednesday’s report.
