Balaclava-clad bikers who ran riot at Hyde Market are not thought to be local, an MP said, as he praised the police's response to the chaos.
A dispersal order was issued on Hyde Market over the weekend as police stepped up patrols following the incident.The update said: “Like everyone who saw it online or was there I was shocked and disappointed that a small minority of youths felt that it was appropriate to behave in that manner. The update went on to outline how, although antisocial behaviour involving bikes and mopeds is a 'national issue', work is continuing to 'deter' the behaviour, with the number of motorbike and moped thefts 'significantly reduced' compared to last year.
