SAA begins process of verifying credentials of its pilots via SABCNewsOnline

CAA is investigating a SAA pilot after it was found that the pilot had fraudulent documents.

SAA has laid criminal charges against him and they want to recover millions of rands paid to the pilot. During its investigation, SAA says it discovered that one of its pilots – a Senior First Officer had lied about his license. It’s also reported that the pilot opted not to be promoted to the rank of captain in 2005, as he would have had to submit his certification.

Michael Myburgh was CEO of SAA in 1994 when the fake SAA pilot were without being properly checked. Myburgh take financial responsibility for the mess too it was his job to check all pilot before employing them.

I hope Parly does the same, people need better lives/improvement,instead of passing laws/bills that talk to peoples needs,MPs spend all their energy chewing eachother untill 'Your time's up hourable what what!',just score political points for their Party's.

Thts what happens when stupid corrupt people run a country

Pathetic to only do it now, this is supposed to be part of their appointment procedure, what happened to their HR department

Now only lol

I thought SAA is run by a wise man, kante they are ALL STUPID.....!

Pilots only? If such a critical area has such issues, I can only imagine the other areas in the company. I suggest that this verification of credentials is applied company wide. And in due course extended to SOEs and government departments.
