Asia-Pacific markets fall after the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield hit its highest in 16 years.

Volatility index briefly climbs above 20 to highest since late Maybriefly touched 20.07 in late morning trading on Tuesday, rising above 20 for the first time since late May.

Gold continued its steep sell-off on Tuesday, notching itssince August 2022 as concerns about higher-for-longer interest rates weighed on the market.
