Anti-apartheid activist Solomon Mahlangu has been conferred an Honorary Doctoral Degree by the University of South Africa .
He was part of a group of 10 who had entered South Africa with weapons and ammunition following their training at an Umkonto we Sizwe Training Camp.“On behalf of the Mahlangu family, we really appreciate and thank every peace-loving South Africans for showing us as the family that they do care and appreciate what Solly did for the country when he gave his life for the liberation of this country.”“People, keep on fighting. As Solly said, we must keep on fighting.
“As a university, we are truly delighted to associate with the Mahlangu family. We also thank you for the reminder that the struggle is not over. Aluta continua. The struggle is now waged against corruption, GBV and many other ailments.”
