Muere Suzanne Somers, de 'Three's Company', a los 76 años

Tenía 76 años. Somers había padecido cáncer de seno durante más de 23 años y falleció el domingo por la mañana, anunció su familia en un comunicado proporcionado por su representante de hace tiempo, R. Couri Hay. Su esposo Alan Hamel, su hijo Bruce y otros familiares cercanos estuvieron con ella en Palm Springs, California. “Su familia estaba reunida para celebrar su 77mo cumpleaños el 16 de octubre”, señala el comunicado.

Su padre era alcohólico y abusivo. Ella se casó joven, a los 19 años, con Bruce Somers después de quedar embarazada de su hijo Bruce. La pareja se divorció tres años después, y luego ella comenzó a modelar para “The Anniversary Game” con el fin de poder mantenerse. Fue en esa época que conoció a Hamel, con quien se casó en 1977.
