President Joe Biden received a $200,000 payment from his brother on the same day one of James Biden‘s business ventures loaned him the same amount, according to a bank document revealed Friday by the House Oversight Committee.

It is unclear why James Biden sent the money. At the time, he was working with a rural hospital operating company called Americore, which filed for bankruptcy in December 2019.@RepJamesComer lays out the money trail. 👇 pic.twitter.com/0vq3lqhRHz House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said the $200,000 payment landed in the personal bank account of James Biden and Sara Biden, not their business account, and that the couple passed it on to Joe Biden in the form of a personal check later in the day on March 1, 2018.

According to the bankruptcy court complaint, James Biden “procured the $600,000.00 in loans from Americore Health based upon representations that his last name, ‘Biden,’ could ‘open doors’ and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections.”Americore was far from the only business in which James Biden was involved.
