MMC for Finance in Ekurhuleni Nkululeko Dunga was involved in a multi-vehicle accident along the R21 south, just before the Pomona off-ramp on Monday night.EMPD spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa said members of the EMPD responded to the accident and the injured parties were transported to hospital, where they are receiving necessary medical attention.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. Dunga is said to have been travelling in one of the vehicles and sustained serious injuries.“We are saddened to confirm that this unfortunate incident resulted in several injuries and a tragic loss of life. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to all individuals and families affected during this difficult time,” said Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana.
