New police vehicles will be rolled out in the region thanks to a £1 million investment with the promise it will make West Mercia Police officers to be "more responsive".The West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion has sanctioned £1m to fund new police vehicles to replace existing ones that are"no longer fit for purpose".

It will also support the recent introduction of five first-of-a-kind Neighbourhood Crime Fighting Teams, which are part of the PCC’s commitment to build a more secure West Mercia. “As PCC, I recognise the importance of having police officers visible across communities which is why I have committed to this investment. It also allows the force to be responsive across the large, geographical area of West Mercia.”
