Of the FTSE 100 constituents, major oil & natural gas companies company BP PLC BP, -4.58% saw the largest drop Tuesday, as shares dropped 4.58%

Ferguson PLC FERG, -2.38%, a wholesalers company, and non-ferrous metals company Antofagasta PLC ANTO, -1.75% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks dropped 2.38% and 1.75%, respectively. Shares of air freight firm International Distribution Services PLC IDS, +3.40% and industrial/office reits company SEGRO PLC SGRO, +2.80% rallied 3.40% and 2.80%, respectively.

The pound was down 0.30% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.24% at $1.2133 and was up 0.16% against the euro GBPEUR, +0.18% at €1.1482.
