It’s now called the Petronas Sepang International Circuit after the national oil and gas company signed a three-year naming rights deal with Malaysia’s top track.
“This development shall open doors to new opportunities to host more world class events at our world class venue for Petronas as one of the industry leaders in motorsports through its engagements in Formula 1 and MotoGP,” he added. “This partnership goes beyond just naming rights — it signifies our dedication to promoting world-class events, fostering talent development, and showcasing our nation’s capabilities on a global stage,” said Petronas senior GM of group strategic relations and communications Datin Anita Azrina Abdul Aziz.
Outside of motorsports, earlier this year, Petronas announced a three-year sponsorship with the Badminton Association of Malaysia .
