INEOS billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly set to inject £245m from his own funds into Man Utd's infrastructure if his move into the club is agreed

Gary Neville says Sir Jim Ratcliffe must outline how he intends to implement his reported £245m investment into Manchester United infrastructure facilities, and especially so regarding Old Trafford.

"You don't sit here as a Manchester United fan wholly impressed by the idea of £245m going in to improve the stadium because we know that Real Madrid and Barcelona are spending a billion to get their stadiums right with a full refit, and we know that other clubs have spent significantly more. There have been numerous reports of the roof leaking at Old Trafford within the last few years with many criticising the Glazers for allowing other areas of the ground to fall into disrepair too. Neville says he feels a sense of embarrassment at the current situation.

Neville said it is vital for Ratcliffe, 71, to offer clarity and communication about his plans, with the lifelong United fan set to take over sporting control at the club upon his minority stake purchase.
