European stocks finished lower Tuesday, with the Stoxx Europe 600 index SXXP, -0.16% falling 0.16% to 442.81.

Shares of health care/life sciences firm Demant A/S DEMANT, -8.57% and business services company Securitas AB Series B SECU.B, -7.48% fell 8.6% and 7.5%, respectively. Shares of insurance firm Direct Line Insurance Group PLC DLG, +8.03% and real estate company Aroundtown S.A. AT1, +7.02% increased 8.0% and 7.0%, respectively.
