Among FTSE 100 constituents, company Diageo PLC DGE, -12.17% saw the largest decline Friday, as shares tumbled 12.17%

WPP PLC WPP, -3.50%, an advertising/marketing/public relations company, and broadcasting business ITV PLC ITV, -3.37% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks shed 3.50% and 3.37%, respectively. Shares of firm SSE PLC SSE, +1.11% and wholesalers company Ferguson PLC FERG, +0.78% rose 1.11% and 0.78%, respectively.

The pound was down 0.18% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.11% at $1.2203 and 0.16% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.14% at €1.1438.
