The Minister of State for Steel Development, Uba Maigari Ahmadu has called for more investment in skills development, infrastructure, and research and development in the welding industry in Africa.
He however noted that challenges persist as demand for skilled welders across Africa continues to outpace supply. On his part, the Chairman at Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria , Mr. Nicolas Odinuwe has called for unifying certificates within Africa especially in the welding and manufacturing sector.
