U.S. stocks rose Friday, with the S&P 500 closing out the quarter with its best gains in nearly a decade, buoyed by fresh signs that inflationary pressures remained contained at the start of the year.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 211 points, or 0.8%, to 25928. The S&P 500 rose 0.7% and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.8%.
