After previously postponing his 1st-ever official visit to Malaysia due to unforeseen circumstances, Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella today finally

visited our shores and officiated the Microsoft Build: AI Day in Kuala Lumpur.

The statement added that the investment is the single largest investment by Microsoft in its 32-year history in Malaysia. Microsoft stressed that the investment showcases its commitment to developing Malaysia as a hub for cloud computing and related advanced technologies, including generative AI. “Our investments in digital infrastructure and skilling will help Malaysian businesses, communities and developers apply the latest technology to drive inclusive economic growth and innovation across the country,”In a Facebook post, Anwar lauded Microsoft’s investment in Malaysia, saying that our country welcomes the tech giant’s decision to invest in our country.

The Prime Minister added that the investment is in line with the Government’s focus on developing our nation’s AI capacity.
