Samad’s big-picture goal is to support cottage businesses in the community and influence a more just food system. East Cleveland is a neighborhood troubled by food insecurity. Loiter is an oasis, offering food from the community and for the community. It keeps dollars flowing within the community. The closed-loop food system is Samad’s expertise.
A native of East Cleveland, Samad worked in some of Cleveland’s top restaurants while studying environmental biology in college.
