Ridley joined the film's cast in 2020, and much of the other performers involved with the film signed on to work on the project over the next few years.The Ophelia star spoke about working on the feature during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter and stated that her previous action-film training did not necessarily prepare her for extensive periods of swimming.
