A three-story Victorian mansion in Tobin Hill is back on the market after a major price cut whacked its original, late-2022 listing price of $1.3 million down to just $599,000.

San Antonio Current Staff

Dubbed the “Pruitt House,” the four-bedroom, two-bath dwelling was built in 1920 by Richard Tarpley Pruitt, a produce supplier and real estate investor who was involved in the construction of the Arthur Hotel along with factories and cold storage buildings downtown. In addition to being a Freemason, Pruitt sat on the board of the Fiesta Commission.

The third story of the main house consists of former attic space that's been converted into spacious living quarters. Its original beadboard walls and ceilings have been painted a bright white. Banishing any thought of a haunted Victorian attic, the space is flooded with light from windows that offer views of the Pearl Brewery and downtown San Antonio.
