Dodge is putting the final touches on the new Charger Daytona before it starts customer deliveries. The flagship electric version will pump out 670 hp while the most potent ICE will deliver 550 hp. While many remain unconvinced by Dodge’s decision to sell the next-generation Charger as an EV or with an inline-six, rather than a V8, the carmaker is powering ahead with the development, and a lovely two-door prototype was recently filmed up close by a YouTuber.
The exterior design has a lovely mixture of modern and retro elements, just like the outgoing Challenger, although we think the rear overhang is a little too long. The special ‘R-Wing’ up front is also visible, as is a set of big brakes at the front and rear, as well as carbon fiber wing mirrors. Dodge promises a dizzying array of powertrain options for the new Charger Daytona.
