A plan for former the former Clements and Watford Market site in Watford High Street has been recommended for approval.

Watford High Street appears set for a big makeover including demolishing the former Clements building for 141-flat blocks.

Having looked over the detailed proposal, council officers have made a formal recommendation stating that planning permission should be granted.Watford Market would be completely revamped with 35 individual units, two residential blocks of flats with 17 and seven storeys respectively would be built, and shop floorspace provided on the ground level of each block.
