The film industry is so predictable. If you’ve been in a big film that’s been a big success, they wrongly think that if they employ you some of that stardust will rub off on them. Of course, it never does. I was just a bloody actor in a successful film. It was nothing to do with me.It took about eight months of my life, but when you get paid a lot of money you take it in your stride.
Apart from really good fishing equipment, I don’t spend money on much. Not because I want to save, but because I’m not interested. My wife has to tell me to change my tee shirt because I look like a vagrant when I go to Waitrose, but it just doesn’t occur to me.
