REVENUES earned by Philippine retailers are being offset by the increased cost of doing business due to supply chain problems, shortage of manpower, among others, according to Philippine Retailers Association President Roberto S. Claudio Sr.
The head of the organization of Philippine retailers concluded that, given all these, the cost of doing business “has increased just as much as our revenues.” “So there is really consciousness on the effort to engage in sports. It’s the cheapest way to work out to stay healthy and fit, right? You don’t have to be a gym member, or drink expensive health beverages. Just engage in sports,” the chairman of the major sports retailer advised.
While he could not divulge the actual revenues of Toby’s recorded last year, he hinted that the figure had already breached prepandemic levels, adding that this is already in billions.
