One of the lead plaintiffs in the class action against Monash IVF has described her relief after the company settled for $56 million.Monash IVF has made no admission of liability as part of the settlement, which is currently subject to Supreme Court approval.It's one of the largest settlements involving an IVF clinic, and is likely to put reproductive technology providers under the microscope.

"One of the real challenges with this industry is that you have a constant flow of new people who really want to build families and are sometimes quite desperate to do so," she said.
