The Seattle Seahawks did some more tinkering with the practice squad on Tuesday. Former UFL wide receiver Ty Scott, who was on the Seahawks preseason roster before roster cuts, has been added to the 17-man practice squad. Seattle has released rookie Michigan linebacker Michael Barrett, who was acquired via trade from the Carolina Panthers in exchange for cornerback Mike Jackson Sr. Scott caught 25 passes for 418 yards and 3 touchdowns with the DC Defenders this past UFL season.
He did play a few special teams snaps in all three games. Seattle only had one PS receiver heading into Week 2, so it’s easy to understand why another one was signed. Barrett only got a handful of snaps in the preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns, having arrived just before game week from the Panthers. He was waived on cutdown day before being immediately signed to the practice squad.
