The South African National Small Bus Operator Council in the North West says the provincial Community Safety and Transport Management Department’s failure to payThe SANSBOC’s concern comes ahead of the matric final exams and as schools reopen for the fourth term.The Council’s Provincial Chairperson Final Kgodumo says this is worrying.
“These delays hinder the operator’s ability to pay drivers, maintain buses and adhere to operational standards. Furthermore, we are seeing unnecessary operating licence delays by provincial regulatory entity, while traffic officers continue to issue fines of R2500 and even impounding buses for operating licences.”
