Power utility Eskom has warned customers that if they do not recode their meters before the 24th November their electricity supply will be cut off. This is as
The power utility says customers need a pair of key change tokens to recode meters. The power utility Spokesperson Daphne Mokwena says customers can get the tokens when they purchase their normal top-up prepaid electricity at any of the Eskom-approved vending channels and outlets. “It requires a customer to just go and buy a token. And once they buy the token, they get the codes that are required for them to just upload on their meters. And then their meters will be recoded. Normally, when the customer goes and buys a credit token, they normally receive a 20-digit number. So, in this case, the customers will receive two additional 20-digit numbers that they need to upload first before they can upload their credit token which is what they would have bought at the time.
