The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) said there are now more companies that are interested in investing in electric-vehicle (EV) manufacturing in the country. During the sectoral meeting with President Ferdinand Marcos last Tuesday, DOST Secretary Renato R. Solidum, Jr.

The Department of Science and Technology said there are now more companies that are interested in investing in electric-vehicle manufacturing in the country.

The Department of Trade and Industry is currently crafting the strategic roadmap under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development , which will help in developing the e-mobility industry. He said currently the country still has a small number of e-vehicles manufacturer and fabricators including one e-jeep domestic producer.

Marcos reiterated he wants to expand the local EVs manufacturing industry by providing incentives to investors since it will help generate more jobs.
