The Mobile County school board has called a special meeting for Monday to consider a resolution to pay more than $3.1 to refund taxes paid by a steel company that has a plant in Calvert.

The Board of Equalization, which considers tax protests, reached an agreement with the company regarding land valuation for the tax years 2015, 2016 and 2018.
