Mango CEO Toni Ruiz Receives 'Business Leader of the Year' Award from the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce

, on Wednesday received the “Business Leader of the Year” award from the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, recognizing his contributions for establishing Mango as a major worldwide fashion company through its aggressive expansion.

Mango has achieved its goal of reaching 40 company-owned stores in the U.S. by the end of 2024 ahead of schedule and plans to exceed it by having 42 open at the close of the year. In 2025, Mango plans to open more than 20 stores in the U.S., including Seattle, Chicago, Miami and Las Vegas, among other locations. Mango is expected to have 65 company-owned stores open across the U.S. by the end of 2025.

Between 2024 and 2026 Mango plans to invest more than $100 million in the U.S. to open stores. Its headcount in the U.S. has grown from 30 employees in 2020 to more than 1,200 expected by 2025.“We are at the best moment of our history and there is no doubt developing the U.S. market is one of our key milestones. Our commitment with the U.S. is definitely long-term,” Ruiz said.

The award ceremony drew more than 200 representatives from politics, business and media from the U.S. and Spain.
