U.S. crude inventories fell by 1.4 million barrels to 422 million barrels in the week ending Dec. 6

U.S. crude stocks fell for a third straight week, while fuel inventories rose in the week ending Dec. 6, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.

Global Brent futures were trading at $72.81 a barrel, up 62 cents, at 1539 GMT . U.S. West Texas Intermediate futures were at $69.32 a barrel, up 73 cents.
