With Christmas just around the corner, Nottingham's Winter Wonderland Christmas Market offers a unique selection of gifts for shoppers.

With just a week until Christmas Day, present-buying has reached fever-pitch as shoppers search for last minute gifts. If you're looking for something unusual, there's still time to visit the Christmas Market at Nottingham's Winter Wonderland. Dozens of festive stalls lining Long Row and Smithy Row are selling a wide variety of gifts, from jewellery to food. Shoppers will find cosy winter wear, with gloves, scarves and hats.

Christmas decorations, vintage music and film signs, wooden sculptures, colourful glassware and candles that resemble cocktails are on sale. For food lovers there's loose leaf tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cheese and chutneys. Stall holder Debra Hanes, who is selling an array of wares including wooden signs, keyrings, gonks and tree decorations, said: 'It's been really good, I've got no complaints. I've sold across the board as usual, all the handmade stuff goes well. I get an awful lot of repeat business, people have been coming to me for quite a few years. It's a really good event. Obviously the fact that it's not just a market, it's got the funfair and ice skating, it's a really good event for people to come to.' But time is running out to visit the market stalls. The shutters will come down for another year on Christmas Eve. Debra plans to close between 3-4pm so she can get back to her home in Boston, Lincolnshire, for Christmas. The rest of the Winter Wonderland in Old Market Square, including the food stalls, bars and attractions such as ice skating and the observation wheel will remain open until New Year's Eve
