Burberry is welcoming back a familiar face to its board of directors. The luxury fashion house announced the appointment of former Chief Chinese Business Officer, as a non-executive director, effective January 1, 2024. King will be stepping down from her current role as Chief Chinese Business Officer, a position she held since January 2022, on December 31, 2023. King originally joined Burberry in 2011 as President, Asia-Pacific.

In its statement on Wednesday, Burberry added that two nonexecutive directors, Fabiola Arredondo and Antoine de Saint-Affrique, plan to retire following the upcoming annual general meeting in July. Arredondo has served as a member of the remuneration and nomination committees since her appointment in 2015. She is a former chair of the remuneration committee and has also served as a member of the audit committee.

De Saint-Affrique joined the board in January, 2021 and has been a member of the aIditarod and nomination committees. Both will continue to serve as committee members until their retirement. Murphy said the board “has benefited greatly from their extensive knowledge and experience throughout their tenures, and I wish them both every success in their future endeavors.”Mary J.
