The owner of a ground floor Blackburn fast food business proposes to turn it into a 'healthy eating' hot food takeaway. Mrs. R. Bux has applied for planning permission to convert the premises at 216 Shear Brow - which had previously been operating as 16th Street burger bar - into ‘Pretty Peppers’. It said the move was also aimed at 'ensuring the continued viability of the establishment'. The statement continued: 'The change of use is consistent with the policies of the Blackburn and Darwen Local Plan which encourage the growth and development of town centres and provides support for businesses that contribute to the economic vitality of these areas. The proposed change of use aligns with these policies by bringing a food offering that meets local demand while maintaining the vibrancy of the commercial area. “The business has seen a substantial rise in demand for healthier takeaway options. Pretty Peppers specialises in providing nutritious meals with a focus on fresh ingredients, balanced diets, and food that supports a healthy lifestyle. “Unlike traditional fast-food outlets, Pretty Peppers focuses on promoting healthy eating.
