Whether this is really a 'solar powered car' depends on how you drive it.

New York The Lightyear One is a car with solar panels stretching across its roof to charge the electric vehicle's batteries. But whether it's really a"solar powered car" depends on how you drive it.

The car, created by Dutch startup Lightyear, has a charging port to plug into a charger. But the solar panels can charge the Lightyear One's batteries at a rate of about 7.5 miles of charge every hour. That's slow compared to plugging it in. Still, if you parked it outside your office on a sunny day, it could soak up enough power to drive 60 miles, which is more than most people drive on a typical day.

Por q se empeñan en hacer los diseños tan feos y esas cubre llantas traseras están horribles y pasadas de moda parece de los 40,’s y 50’s

Too late. We're all gonna die. Soon.

Breaking the car down into parts after a wreck will create more pollution then if you were to just drive a gas powered car. Plus the insurance and the cost of the car. Not to mention price of mechanic engineer. Plus still has metal moving parts so it would still need oil.

The sun causes cancer. No thanks, I’ll pass on the cancer mobile.

Looks cool anyway. Could put a mini wind turbine on top of it. Than they can say that the car has turbine in stead of turbo. I actually laughed loud, but didn't roll on the floor, of my own tweet. 🤪

Great why don't u report about how ppl with nerv damage in the back and bleeding stomach issue is deemed able to work and is being denied help? Graphic material included

Yeah. Don't drive it at night.

But when there’s no sun you can’t watch tv

Downhill? Solar powered. Flat or up? No.

Useless in Scotland I hear ?
