National Prosecuting Authority boss, Shamila Batohi says it is disturbing that 100 cases of gender-based violence are reported to the police countrywide daily. She was addressing scores of public servants at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.Batohi says this cannot be tolerated.
“We had met with the National Commissioner of Police about two weeks ago and we put together a strategy on how collectively with our partners we can ensure that these cases … that prosecutors are dedicated, investigators are dedicated and that people who chose to commit these crimes will face full wrath of the law.
GBV is a good cause. Don't forget the stealing politicians. The bribes publicised and admitted to by many. Blatant thievery. All well known corruption. Only the NPA is playing dumb.
The NPA got new skilled personnels and has the resources, from where did they get them? 😐
NPA_Prosecutes must stop loud mouthing and do the action. There is too much beef going on out there and NPA is not acting. The corruption at the top is brazen, is there for blind people like me to see, but NPA is watching - no action.
There is nothing as such. NPA_Prosecutes does not have the capacity to deal with cases involving GBV. Its all a public stunt from the NDPP. She sounds and behaves more like a politician than a prosecutor.
