I’ve been a wildlife doc producer for a decade. None of the issues I encountered around the world is good. Zero. Ecological systems are rather quickly breaking down. Time is of the essence.

someone tell toriegraph that they are on the wrong side of history and good riddance

Just don't mention McDonalds :)

No they are not. Politicians and the public need to know climate change is the biggest crises this globe has faced since the ice age. Yes, as individuals we can’t do much but as a nation we can influence.

The Telegraph probably said the same thing about the Suffragettes blocking roads and those opposed to the Poll Tax. I suspect though that it never had an issue with Oswald Mosley and the Blackshirts blocking streets in October 1936.

Is this London's version of the Brazilian carnival? This is quite obstructive and in a way childish.

Can we run them over? Not everyone has the money to spend their days whining and complaining. Most of us have jobs that we need go get to and bosses that don’t care why we are late

Clearly. But that is what happens when a well intentioned group is partly hijacked by “Rent a Mob” and the rest of the “Great unwashed” Loony left. A shame but reality

TelePolitics No.

Yep.

It is a good thing they are not violent, but however they give too much damage.

sparkz42 Yes!

Yes and they don't care because their 'protest' is nothing to do with climate change.

You talk about 'their cause' as if the health of the planet will only affect them. Oh, of course - you're a Telegraph journalist! You don't actually live on the same planet as the rest of us.

Look at them! They don’t know whether they’re coming or going. I have no support for them now

As soon as the police take a more energetic instance, it will be all over BBCNews Channel4News and SkyNews . How cute from these lefties ignoring Macron’s police beating up GiletJaunes for the last 2 years🤔

Most people know to avoid the area by now!

There are socially constructive + environmentally effective activities we need to articulate + incentivise. Can new banking structures provide stronger incentives for these? Can a bank integrate money, carbon credits, time-based currency? ClimateChange

While I do not agree with every single action taken by XR your argument, that real change comes through a democratic process is really funny. Look at the parliaments and governments. What do they do in regards to the climate crisis? They take step after step backwards, great.

The Telegraph seems to be working for the right.

No

Pathetic , nothing will be achieved .

I'm not quite sure. Islam was hardly anything until it started cutting people's heads off on YouTube.

They should be able to hit every one of them with their bat

No...

No

They are not looked on as sincere demonstrators with a genuine cause for this type of protest. Just a bunch of climate bandwagonners, having a jolly get-together at the expense of the public.

The fact they look like freaks doesn't help either.

Yes! And the majority of people would agree.

Why haven't the police been more robust. This is a disgraceful reaction.
