Paranaque City’s Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) Chief has been re-elected as President of the National Association of Business Permit and Licensing Office (NABPLO) during its recent national convention in Palawan.

Lawyer Melanie Soriano-Malaya, wife of Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, has been serving as NABLO president since 2016.

With regards to automation, NABPLO assists local government units specially third and sixth class municipalities in the country. The association also helps LGUs in revenue generation and business regulation as mandated by the Local Government of Code. With Project ELO 2.0, Parañaque has become the country’s first local government unit that is “fully compliant” with President Duterte’s order to streamline business permit processes.
