Venter, who has scored six tries in 25 appearances for Edinburgh, suffered a knee injury, while De Bruin pulled up with a hamstring problem on his eighth appearance for the club. They recently returned to Scotland from SA after a two-match tour in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship.
