The Real Black Friday outdoor market promotes Black businesses - Jacksonville Business Journal

The sixth annual “The Real Black Friday” outdoor market kicks off Friday — the busiest shopping day of the year.

The two-lane community shutdown features homegrown, handsewn and handcrafted offerings from up to 75 vendors from across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. A kids’ zone, live entertainment, Santa meet-and-greet, toy giveaway are also planned. Melanin Market, Inc. has garnered $50,000 in sponsorship funds including hefty support from VyStar Credit Union. Other community partners or sponsors include the Historic Eastside CDC, LIFT JAX, United Way of Northeast Florida and the Jessie Ball duPont Fund.
