A new operator in the fast-growing build-to-rent sector says it can target lower-income earners even without further tax concessions.

Brisbane-based Vita will start construction next year on the first two projects in what it says will be a national portfolio of 4500 build-to-rent units targeting lower-income renters across the life-stage spectrum.managing director Tim Mahony and Atira Student Living founder Damian Haber and backed by local super funds, has already acquired one site in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley and another undisclosed city fringe property.
