Stocks rose on Wednesday as investor sentiment ticked up amid positive data on British inflation, while traders awaited an announcement from the US Federal Reserve about interest rates.

Ireland’s stock exchange traded broadly in line with its European peers, rising 0.8 per cent in the day’s trading on the last day before CRH, the building materials giant, de-lists as part of a move to the US.
